Getting more girls into STEM and engineering is our mission, and so International Women's Day 2020 on 8th March was a really important part of our marketing strategy during February and March.  We planned and carried out lots of activities, wrote them up in a press release and thought about how we could make an image that would work for newspapers and online.  We were really pleased that the News Guardian featured our work.  Read a longer version of the article including support from our school on the News Guardian website here.

We were happy to be invited back to the Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and District Soroptimists Club to update them on our activities since we met them in November.  We gave a presentation and answered questions.  Thank you to all the Club members who bought one of our special #EachforEqual and SuffraJETS souvenir pens!

We were so happy that Driven Women Magazine - the motoring magazine for women which focuses on women and motoring culture - contacted us after our success in the North East regionals to ask if they could feature us in their online blog!  Read the full article here.

We appeared in the Whitley Bay News Guardian with our uniform sponsors Custer Design! We made this happen by writing a press release, getting permission from our colleagues at Custer and sending it into the news desk.  We were really pleased that we raised awareness in our local community of our team's activities and also of the kind support we had had from Custer Design.

We were invited to speak at a meeting of the Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and District Soroptimists Club to tell them about our all girl team and our aim to encourage more girls into STEM careers.
