What is the F1 in Schools competition all about?

We are competing in the F1 in schools competition. It is a STEM based challenge in which you have to design a small Formular 1 car using Autodesk Inventor, a 3D designing software, to race down a track. The cars are powered by a CO2 cannister with reaction time button to send it down the track. You also have to create a team Identity to brand your team. Another part of the competition is finding sponsorship to pay for your teams' uniform, merchandice and Pit display. We competed in the North East Regional and came 2nd! We are now through to represent the North East in the UK nationals which are held in the Bristol Aerospace Museum on the 1st and 2nd of April.
